Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. There never was a "problem".
I contacted Winegard, they immediately replied and helped me with my technical issue. I'm extremely satisfied with them.

Resolved: Question about my antenna
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Switched out the cable.
User's recommendation: Yes or no. I do like dish Network, but I find your equipment not very reliable and good. I do have problem with my home equipment as well, get a new one sent to my house. I hope that will help, but I will lose all my recordings I have on my receiver.
$750 later, our camper has no tv for the third year

I contacted DirecTV to order a satellite receiver, so I could watch TV in my RV. They referred me to Wineguard and indicated the company could sell the required equipment and activate the service.
I called Winegard and explained that I would be using a full sized DirecTV antenna on a tripod.
The sales rep recommended the H24 receiver. She said this is all I would need, and I could call back for technical support to connect the system when I received the equipment.
I later called for technical support and the respresentative seemed very helpful. He walked me through setup and provided the 3 settings required for the receiver. I asked if a SWIM power inserter would be required for my H24 receiver based on the type of dish I was using (because I had a friend with a similar setup who also had the power inserter).
The Winegard rep indicated this capability was built into the H24 and I would not need the additional device. The rep was helpful and assisted as I attempted to point the dish, but we gave up after several unsuccessful attempts. He indicated I could call back when the dish was properly pointed.
During the months that followed, I called back on 3 separate occasions and the technical reps indicated they could not assist me because I was not using a satellite dish purchased from Wineguard. I explained that when I purchased the equipment, I specifically told the sales rep what type dish I'd be using but they were unwaivering and I could not get the technical reps to answer a few simple questions.
On one occassion, I asked to be transferred to my original technical support rep but this was a bridge too far as well.
I also asked to speak to a manager on two occassions but never received the return calls that were promised.
I knew the dish was pointed properly and I figured there was a simple explanation for why I could not receive a signal but it was impossible to get help from Wineguard. Finally, I borrowed a friend's power inserter, and my receiver began to communicate.
I then refreshed the receiver with DirecTV and began receiving my TV programming.
Wineguard provided absolutely no assistance in this process. It was clear their policy had changed after I purchased my equipment, and it was also clear that their only motivation was to make an even greater profit by selling their expensive satellite dishes.

Called Wingard and they will not service my satellite antenna (Trav'ler) because it is 7 years old. Really?
New antenna cost $1800! I'll just remove antenna and see if I can repair the inside box that transfers the power. When things are in warranty, Winegard does a great job (have used warranty service before on another antenna), when out of warranty you are n your own. There is nothing on the internet that shows me how to take it apart, but I'll figure it out.
There are no schematics, but I'll figure it out because they have given me no other choice. It would be nice if you could just buy the turret assembly without all the other crap and save $$$$ but they don't...I'll let you know how all of this works out.
